Osprey Island infill planting commenced on Thursday 23rd August with 3490 plants going into Eagles Landing between Sunderland Drive and Seaeagle Place. This will be followed by six weeks of twice-a-week watering by council to hopefully keep them all alive. All planted areas will be mulched on 18th September. Cost $26,175.00
The PHRCA have been aware that this area has needed some work for sometime, however whilst the development work was taking place on Osprey Island it was not viable to undertake any planting. Unfortunately we are already seeing a little bit of damage by the large trucks on the roundabout corners.
Once Eagles Landing section is fully completed, the remainder of Osprey Island and Dolphin Cove street scapes will follow in October and November. After November it is too hot to plant and we will commence again in March 2019.
